I requested money from my bank account to pay BAS for a watch on Thursday and it took it out my bank on Friday and says it is supposed to still be pending until sometime today. I don't get it one bit. I still dont have the $$$ yet it has been out of my bank account for 4 days.

I also recently sold something on ebay a couple of weeks ago and it would not let me withdraw the money until the person left positive feedback.

They are a pain in the ass.
I had some chump change from years ago laying around in an account, tried to send it to the CR orphans, what an ordeal that was.

Use your Visa/MC Checking card. It is instant. Works great.

You can link the card on the site

Thanks for the heads up, I will definitely try that next time. I never realized it would take 5 days to get the damn money, but nothing I can do now.

Paypal does suck. Had a dispute on EBAY, they took my money, until I filed suit in small claims, finally got my money back.

As for the toll-free number, don't even know why they exist anymore. Who doesn't have a cell with free long-distance or a home phone with free long-distance.

[ Ebay bought Paypal, and now Paypal is set to surpass Ebay in earnings... wow.. ]

Chief executive officer John Donahoe boasted to analysts that revenue from PayPal could more than double from last year's totals to as much as $7 billion annually by 2013. If that happens, PayPal's sales could soon eclipse the revenue that eBay's bread-and-butter auction sites generate.
But is it really possible that PayPal will pass the core eBay (EBAY, Fortune 500) business that quickly? Analysts seem to believe so. International expansion as well as the increased adoption of PayPal on smartphones could help.
In a report Friday morning, Jefferies & Co. analyst Youssef Squali referred to eBay's PayPal goals as "ambitious but not unrealistic."
Marianne Wolk, an analyst with Susquehanna Financial, added in a research note Friday that she believes PayPal will account for about 45% of eBay's profits within two years. That's up from about 30% now.

Some hacked my PP recently and bought 3 digital cameras... a little over $800... PP was very nice and took care of everything. took me a while to straighten out things at my bank but all ended well, no fees or anything incurred....

smartest thing ebay ever did was buy paypal. kinda like paying tolls on the road, pay going both ways...i pay my seller fees to ebay then get dinged again when paypal takes their cut when the buyers pay me....

I don't really know anyone who uses ebay anymore to be honest. I guess it beats a yard sale for getting rid of stuff but really its popularity seems to of gone down. Atleast in this country..

I used to use ebay / paypal to buy football cards. I had a few purchases for $200 - $300 and the rest was all $5 / $10 / $20 dollar type transactions. I had about 100 transactions total over like 5 years. One day I check my PP and I see a transaction for $900 pending ?!?! Was glad I saw it pending before it actually came out of my checking account... did some investigating and determined the item was some kind of online gamer piece. An intangible object that doesn't even exist. A friggin' ring or something like that for an online game??? I immed call PP and told them to block the transaction and that it was fraud. They assure me they will block the transaction from hitting my bank account and then do an investigation. Sure enough.,,, next day my chekcing is debited for $900. I was fking livid. Called Pp and they said they investigate after the money is xsfered. !?!?! The exact opposite of what they told me the night before when they assured me they would block it from going thru. I had also called my bank and they directed me to deal with PP as the first step. A few days later PP then ruled in favor of the other party !!! Hold crap i was beyond pissed. PP said the transation originated from my computer. After a week more of batlling them and blasting them on the phone they somehow reversed their decision and gave me my money back. Holy crap that was a mess. BEWARE PAYPAL

I have no clue if the customer service has gotten any better, but when I had a problem maybe 5 years back I couldn't understand any of their customer service people. I could barely make out a single word...

Only one person actually needs to have a PayPal account for it to be used with credit cards.

The person who owns a PayPal account sends and invoice to the person who does not have PayPal. They can use their credit card to make the payment.

The fee is is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you receive. Buyer or seller can pay the fee.
