Charlie Batch - QB - Steelers Steelers backup QB Charlie Batch is in danger of not making the final, 53-man roster.
We've speculated about this, but ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms it. Batch is running behind Ben Roethlisberger, Byron Leftwich, and Dennis Dixon. The team will have to determine whether it's worth it to guarantee Batch's $855,000 salary by keeping him on the Week 1 roster with Big Ben due back in a month. August 3

Howard has had a good career. Batch is a career backup. Had a couple seasons in DET, nothing more than a clipboard guy in his career. Got lucky to be with a first rate organization in PIT.

He was useless coming out of EMU and still remains useless
