</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>According to beat writer Tom Kowalski, the Lions are forcing the ball to Johnson in the redzone, and he's making the catch "almost every time." To keep the defense guessing, he's running more than just fade routes. Johnson is a good bet to lead all receivers in touchdowns this season.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Megatron has just eight catches for 95 yards so far, three of which came in garbage time against the Eagles in Week 2. "But there's some times you just can't force it, and if you do, then you're making bad decisions," Schwartz said. Injuries to Nate Burleson and Matthew Stafford aren't helping Calvin's cause. Still, owners shouldn't even consider selling low here. There's still a ton of upside.

It appears the injury may be more serious than it looked on the field. "We’ll see how it goes this week," said Schwartz. "It’s probably too early to make any determinations." If it's a severe sprain or dislocation, the Lions may try to time Johnson's return with Matthew Stafford's (shoulder). They could get two weeks off for both by holding Stafford and Megatron out against the Giants in Week 6. The Lions' bye falls in Week 7.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>"He is doing some tests (Monday)," Schwartz said. "He's no worse than he was (Sunday), but this is something that's going to develop through the week." Schwartz made it clear that Johnson wouldn't have been able to practice Monday, but "it's a long way to Wednesday and a long way to Sunday." It sounds like Schwartz is not prepared to rest Johnson in advance of the Week 7 bye if there's a chance he can play.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>"If my range of motion and my strength is there, then I can play," said Johnson. He expects the decision to come down to how he's feeling by Saturday night. Johnson has been practicing in a limited fashion, but he's clearly favoring his right shoulder. The range of motion isn't there yet.

Johnson wore shoulder pads in the non-padded practice, but he was able to graduate to stretching for balls with both arms. For what it's worth, Scout.com's Nick Caminata believes there's no question that Johnson will play. He's officially a game-time decision, and fantasy leaguers should consider that he may take on more of a decoy role on Sunday.

Calvin Johnson - WR - Lions Calvin Johnson (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants, as expected.
While there is some concern that Johnson will be used as a decoy and to ensure that Jahvid Best doesn't see stacked boxes, his scoring potential is too high to pass up as a WR2 this week. Nate Burleson isn't a great WR3 play with Johnson in the lineup. October 17 - 11:36 a.m. ET

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>You wouldn't know Calvin was hurt if you just watched the highlights of his three-touchdown day against the Redskins. He is dragging receivers to the end zone and sticking his neck into traffic consistently. Johnson may miss some practice time this week, but he'll be good to go for a showdown with the Jets' elite secondary in Week 9. Megatron has seven touchdowns in his last four games.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Said Schwartz of Johnson and Chris Houston, "both of them will be guys that we’ll see where they’re going during the week." Megatron aggravated an ankle sprain that landed him on the Week 16 injury report in the second half of Sunday's win, and didn't play much in the fourth quarter. The Lions face the Vikings in Week 17. Johnson's status appears to be questionable.
