theres always something else a month or two down the line now it seems.

alwayzright, who goes on and on about is evo 4g which is admittedly a good phone, could've waited a month and got the epic with sprint which will be much better.

thats the one good thing about the iphone. you have the newest version and the updates for a year.

i think the android os is more interesting and more to my liking, but i hate the fact that a new phone comes out every month.

to guys like alwayzright, that evo 4g 3 months from now will look old and outdated, and your stuck to the 2 year contract.

ends up being lose lose in the end.

For once i have to say GTC is right....I got the HTC"Incredible" not even 6 weeks ago, there have already been 2 "better" releases since and they are releasing an Android update and ...you guessed it...its not compatible with the HTC Incredible..

I got Incredibly screwed...

2 year contract right?

i was looking at the samsung vibrant by tmobile, i have had no problems with them. can get the phone for 450 flat out with no contract.

i just want to avoid the contracts.

Wow i can just smell the ignorance from you. First the iphone is ALREADY outdated. The EVO is such a better phone. Second...why do you think the Epic is better than the EVO? That right there shows you dont have a clue about what you are talking about. Tell me sir what is coming out in the next 3 months that is better than the EVO?...Its definately not the EPIC..lol

wow...lol.... First off Super moled doesnt blow away the evos screen. My girlfriend has the vibrant and there is barely a difference. The only thing is looking at the screen in direct sunlight the vibrant looks better. Too bad after playing with my evo she already wants one of her own. I am a cell phone junkie...and let me tell you there is not a better phone than the Evo coming out in the next few months...period.

Yes and no. Some people are in industries where they need to be constantly contactable. I bought the iPhone 4 on release here (and in Australia buying outright means it's unlocked), so I can take it anywhere in the world, get a cheap sim with data and be immediately contactable via anywhere else in the world via Facebook, Skype or other IM Clients, without having to let everyone know a new number.

The future is what we are still calling 'new media'; Twitter, Facebook and Instant Messaging are everyday constants now in the UK and Australia; I don't know about the US. With my generation, you would struggle to have a social life, or a professional one, without them.

Iphone question? To make a call do you actually have to use the touchscreen to make a phone call?

You could use voice control (hold down home button and say call 'xxx'), but I wouldn't rely on it calling the right person. Otherwise yes, you have to use the touchscreen.

Phones are a joke.......get a laptop.

Bingo.
Give me a phone that doesn't drop a signal, gives me good reception, ability to recieve a call, make a call, and maybe a camera option if I have to take an important shot on the road or something.
That's it.

I don't need the internet on my phone, I can gain access to a computer within 15 minutes from where ever I am.

Since when did phones become a status signal.

I can't stand these morons who think walking aound with that ear piece is a fashion statement.

Yeeeeesh.
