My wife would never let me move to Vegas, she thinks its too hot, and not safe enough to raise a family. My brother lives there and I'd love to live near some family, I'd love to eventually own a condo there. My dream would be to live in Vegas during the winter and then live in Reno for baseball season.

So there's that much of a difference in the weather between Reno and LV ?

Reno would be more like Colorado Springs/ Denver than a desert Phoenix/ Las Vegas.

difference is huge, like LA and SF are different, but more dramatic than that.

It is elevation mainly, Mount Charleston about 40-50 miles outside of Vegas ( to the West) is almost like Colorado. 30+ degrees cooler up there is common.

I'm ready to move back there. Ideally, I would like to spend Sept-March in Vegas, and the rest of the year in San Diego.

Mount Charleston was my favorite getaway area when I used to live in Las Vegas ( winter for skiing and summer for hiking ),fabulous spot! For those that like the outdoor activities I would recommend that you join The Las Vegas Ski Club .Lots of great ski trips to go on during the Oct-May periods---a great social club when you want to get away from the gambling scene at various times.

As an American citizen, i could, but why would i want to? In Canada i have access
to Pinnacle, BetFair, and many others that the US gov opposes. So why would a
Canadian move to Vegas? In Canada we also have legal prostitution and other
freedoms Americans can only dream of. Maybe you should think of moving up
North instead.

For me it would be tough living with no grass and tree's.

When flying in one of the things I notice looking down.

Where do your dogs do their business?

Of course I see lawns in like the gated communities but most homes looking down are dirt.

Like cats in the litter {all desert} box? No need for pickup & disposal.

Great. No lawn moving or next door Yuri to watch while a Nigerian
runs off with your mower.
