</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Devin Hester and Greg Olsen are tied for second with 39 targets apiece. Devin Aromashodu is fourth with 32, but he has the highest catch percentage. This partially confirms that Knox's skills are translating best into Mike Martz's offense, and also shows how far Knox is ahead of Aromashodu. Olsen's target total is perhaps the most surprising, but we're still letting someone else gamble that Martz will use the tight end once the chips are down.

hnny Knox - WR - Bears
According to the Bears' preseason depth chart (released Monday), Johnny Knox and Devin Hester are the team's starting wide receivers.
Hester is the flanker, Knox the split end. It looks as though Knox will be new coordinator Mike Martz's featured offensive player this season, so it's not surprising that he continues to be listed ahead of Devin Aromashodu. August 9 - 5:07 p.m. ET

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Knox's preseason debut on Saturday was impressive. Running with the starters, the speedy Knox separated from corners with ease and showed good hands. Pompei notes that Knox "easily was the best route runner on the field." This has breakout written all over it.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>"Certain offenses are tailor-made for certain type of guys. Johnny definitely fits that mold," Smith said. Although the buzz on Knox has worn off a little thanks to the offense's struggles in the preseason, the speedster remains one of our favorite breakout candidates. He's locked in as a starter and main deep threat, a role that Torry Holt excelled in with Martz's Rams.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Hester was targeted once, compared to Devin Aromashodu's 10 and Johnny Knox's seven. Cutler guarded his words by blaming Hester's minimal role on "rolled coverage" with a safety over the top, but it's clear that the converted returner is low on the totem pole in Chicago. It's not like Cutler is afraid to throw into coverage. Hester is not close to a fantasy option.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Hester has 12 yards on six returns so far this season and has gone 30 games without a special teams touchdown. It's safe to say that opponents have figured out how to contain a guy that scored seven touchdowns on the first 89 punt returns of his career. Biggs hints that the Bears may choose to rotate Earl Bennett in to give Hester a break on returns.

Does anyone have an idea as to which Bears receiver the Lions CB Alfonso Smith will be matched up against?

Guy got absolutely shredded vs the Pats last week.
