Delgado worked out for the Sox Friday, and the team evidently liked what they saw enough to offer him a contract. FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal says he will receive $20,000 per month at Triple-A and a pro-rated portion of $3 million in the majors. The Sox have also agreed to not offer him arbitration and if Delgado is not brought up to the major league club by September 1, he is allowed to become a free agent. He has not played in a major league game since May of last year. Once with the big club, he would figure to eat into a significant chunk of Mike Lowell's playing time.
