Glen Perkins is expected to fill in for Slowey on Wednesday. It's always a concern when a pitcher's elbow is barking, but the fact that the Twins are just planning to push him back a few days is encouraging. The right-hander has been terrific lately, giving up only five runs over his last 21 2/3 innings.
