Utley was examined in New York Wednesday by hand specialist Dr. Andrew Weiland and was given clearance. It's a major step in his ongoing recovery from thumb surgery, and he remains on course for an early September return. The second baseman had an .849 OPS and 11 homers in 72 games before the injury.

This is so huge for the Phillies. They just need to hang in there this next couple weeks. They get healthy early enough they win the NL and and the world series.
