Ontario is going to cash in on Internet gambling, beginning in 2012. Government officials say within five years, that province could rake in about 100 million dollars a year from online gambling. British Columbia recently launched its online betting operations, and Quebec is expected to follow suit. Last April, Manitoba's NDP government said it will decide over the next few months whether to foray into the multi-billion-dollar global business of Internet gambling. The Addictions Foundation of Manitoba has expressed concern that problem gamblers are that much harder to identify if they're online.
