So that makes it racist??????Don;t know exact numbers but NBA has a much higher % of minorities than baseball tho doesnt it?
So that makes it racist??????
One could also argue that since that since the MLB is more diverse that the NBA is Racist. It's still a stupid argument. Is it possible that maybe the media is judging individual incidents, based on how the in individuals were acting?
LOL, the NHL gets almost no air time on ESPN compared to NBA. How is this not racist?I was just responding to you saying they were dominated by minorities. But i would rather compare hockey fights to NBA fights. The players punch each other in the face and bloody other opponents but nba fights where people swing and miss and they are called thugs
Don't you think that it's racist that there are more blacks than whites in the NBA???? All I'm saying is that playing the race card everytime you don't agree with a statement is ignorant, and gets us no where.Look at the ratings for the NBA and NHL and you will see why. The majority of people who watch ESPN prefer basketball to hockey

glad to see you know how to pick in chose when it comes to being a realist.

And my point is that when Espn says they look they thugs it's not about racism. His point is that it is about money. That is the bottom line.
Also, to OPs point, a Bill Romanowski is considered a tough guy and a competetior when he spits in someones face, but when a Robbie Alomar or Sean Taylor (don't remember the Redskin), they are considered hotheaded or dirty.
I can't say I disagree with the OPs point.
If Hockey got some coverage on ESPN maybe they would complain. You don't think race has anything to do with people complaining about guys leaving college hoops early for the NBA, but players in Hockey and MLB can be drafted right out of high school. I don't hear anyone complaining when a player is 17 and drafted in the 19th round by Milwaukee and he decides to turn pro, do you?
However, when a KG or Kobe does, everyone is complaining they need to go to college and blah, blah, blah. You don't think there are few white people that were annoyed that Kobe and KG made more money a month after their HS graduation than they were going to make in their entire lives?
