You're killing me! You know I can't wish you luck on this one! lol. Nice call on the Mets!

thanks.....i know where ur hearts at on this one....just think the righty hitting additions to the padres gonna gtive them enough thump.

giants might not be ready for big step up in class ...they really played last few poorly vs cubs and were fortunate to win

I agree. I'm worried about this series and the Giants rotation. Tonight is a toss up IMHO, so you're getting the value.

on the Giants pretty large here. zeke I think you are quite knowledgeable with baseball but to say the Giants are not ready for a big step up in class....is crazy.....if anything the Padres are not ready to face the Giants. there is no doubt the Padres have tremendous pitching but you also can not put so much pressure on your staff night in and night out knowing they need to throw close to a shut out, 3-4 hitter just to win the ball game. IMO Tejada and Ludwick will do them no good. Giants will show them whats up this series....

Giants had a huge chance there to step on the Padres throats early going up 2-0. if Sanchez could have had a shutdown inning...the doubts would have started creeping in San Diegos mind....."are we for real" but instead the head case Sanchez hits a batter, Headley triples...its 2-2 and the momentum is with the Pads now..

Quote from Jonathan Sanchez:

"We're going to play San Diego, and we're going to beat them three times." "If we get to first place, we're not going to look back."

Shove those words right up his ass, Padres! :toast:

my comment wasnt that giants are not good enough as team to play the padres tyhis season....my poin t was they played terribly vs cubs in thats eries and were very fortunate tog et a win in some of those games.....with baseball alot of it depends on when teams catch other teams......i dont think the giants were trying to play badly, they justw erent doing very well or closing out a much weaker team......

this is a tied game, and if it remains that way after 5, i dont see anyone on any of the 30+ MLB teams would be favored in 3 inning duel with friere (filthy of late), mike adams, and heath bell........

i dont think i have ever picked the padres this season, and have been rooting for those guys to surrender something late, and it just doesnt happen....

mota, casilla, ray...the guys that sf uses.....just not the same in front of wilson ....

yep. it is imperative for teams to jump on the Padres early and often. why I said Giants blew a huge chance giving the lead right back which stemmed from a freaking hit batter.

More unbelievable bullshit umpiring interferes with a baseball game- I'm sure whether u think it's bullshit depends on ur bet- but the bottom line is the balls path changes dramatically after hitting the pitcher- hairston didn't know where the ball was and didn't go out of te baseline

3-2 lead and friere warming up

here comes the "San Diego sleeper hold"

that's what I call it anyway

for those who don't know friere - he's filthier than Johnny venters , papelbon and hong shi Cuo combined.

In contrast- control challenges Santiago casilla relieving Jonathan " we gonna win" sanchez

Bottom 6

Richard gets huff- then I suspect we will see the most boringly effective relief pitchers ever to put on a uniform

O yeh- forgot about gregerson

the giants scored 8 runs yesterday... What are u expecting... Most MLB teams average 4 runs a game- this is playoff atmosphere vs the number 1 era team...
