Is it just me, or is the NFL "almost" unwatchable?

I have been lacking interest in the NFL more and more each year. I would almost compare it to the NBA.

I think I am going to focus more on CFB this year. I generally am at work on Saturdays when all the CFB games are on that's the only draw back.

Usually I am getting geared up for the NFL, but it ain't what is use to be back in the late 80's early 90's

I don't know why, but i thoroughly enjoyed watching the so-called boring pre-season opener.

Maybe it's like when you haven't banged a chick for 6 months, you are drunk, and they all look doable. Even the 90 year old grannies with a walker!

In my opinion BigBet this year should be one of the more exciting years in a while.

Soooooo many new things & players going on with lots of teams....

The only meaningful games to watch are in Week 3 of NFL Preseason because that game is the regular season opening game rehearsal where the starters play about 3 quarters. Game 4 they don't play much. Maybe a quarter or so.

I hate the NFL. They have bastardized the game so bad to make sure it only lasts 3 hours that they have fucked over the fans....which is their excuse for why they have bastardized it (so that the fans can catch game 2 - after the first game - without interuption). If it's YOUR team playing, you want to see them get the ball as many times as possible. An NFL game can see a team get 6 or 7 offensive possessions per game....sometime less if you don't count the 48 second possession from your own 12 yard line w/ 48 seconds to go in the half.

I hate the NFL. I only watch to see former college players and an excuse to drink a few beers. That's it! The NFL is UN-WATCHABLE! It sucks!

Too many commercials is right on. Takes away from the game, not nearly as interested as in the past, agree with Bigbet.

Also, how can you have a "Champion" that loses 4-6 regular season games (out of 16)? What a joke!

I thought it was better in the 80's and 90's but I'm a Browns fan, so that explains that.
One of the worst and saddest things about the NFL, imo, is that I was listening to some former Browns talk about their rivalry with the Steelers. They were saying that as soon as the schedule came out they would call each other and pump each other up saying 'we got the Steelers on October so and so'...they would circle the date on the calender. Then in the early 90's the players couldn't do that because they didn't know who was going to be on the team the following year. That just totally sucks, I think, if you're a fan and even a player for that matter.

1) too many teams play in domed stadiums these days

2) there are too many teams

3) bad officiating and touch fouls -- qb gets tapped on the shoulder these days and it's 15 yards....geezus

4) the fans seem to only be in the game at the start and at the end.....the atmosphere is nothing compared to college

i like a 3 hour football game, i hate hearing people complain about the length, but the average nfl game seems to have a lot of lulls these days.....used to be much easier to be involved during the whole game.....

Preseason is usually pretty vanilla and defensive-minded. I still love it.

Ten minutes of action wrapped by three hours of huddles, commercials, time outs, and coaches challenges.

Without a bet on it there is no way I sit through an entire game.

Easily the #1 league right now in North America. Can't even say there is a close second either.

Whether a couple people find it boring or not, there is no league that fans as a whole look forward too more than the NFL
