Fitzgerald says he'll "be conservative with it for a few weeks," which indicates that we probably won't see him for the remainder of the preseason. Still, the news is good. Fitzgerald should be 100 percent in time for Opening Day. In the meantime, Early Doucet will practice with Arizona's first-team offense.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Fitz wasn't going to be risked for more than a few reps outside of perhaps the third exhibition game, so this isn't a big loss. His injury situation is worth keeping tabs on, but Fitz is fully expected to be starting in Week 1.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Fitzgerald is still working on his conditioning, but it's hard to imagine that would ever be a problem for the workout maniac. The Rams are breaking in a new starting safety (Craig Dahl) and will start a cornerback coming off multiple torn knee ligaments (Bradley Fletcher). Fitzgerald will give them fits.

Larry Fitzgerald - WR - Cardinals The Cardinals scaled back Larry Fitzgerald's (knee) practice reps on Thursday against his objections.
It's not a setback with his knee, however. Fitz is still listed as a full participant. The Cardinals are citing the extreme heat and a need to get new No. 3 receiver up to speed as much as "making sure Larry stays fresh." Fitz isn't close to 100 percent just yet, but he's still a good bet for double digit targets against the Falcons this week. September 16 - 5:06 p.m. ET

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>To give you an idea of just how bad Fitzgerald's catch percentage is, Miles Austin has caught 22 of the 29 balls that have come his way. Between Derek Anderson's woes, Fitzgerald's knee and the coverage of Nnamdi Asomugha last week, Fitzgerald is struggling badly. But his catch rate will certainly rise and the Cardinals aren't going to stop chucking it his way. Don't sell low here.

I knew I had to run up the seam, saw the ball and knew I had to make a play." His status for Week 17 is unknown.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Fitzgerald never came out of last Saturday's game, but he admitted to some memory loss while showing outward signs of shaking his head and blinking his eyes after a helmet-to-helmet hit. Those sound like concussion symptoms, but Cardinals doctors have apparently determined that it was merely a head injury.
