Just came off winning a big series against the Giants. could possibly come out flat, maybe overlooking the Cubbies. also Cubs have been putting up some runs lately. small play on Chicago here.:toast:

Tough game to call. I hate the fact that Lee isn't playing tonight and they are fielding Barney and Nady instead. Lou is also holding out castro and colvin tonight.

Padres bats really suck against lefties tonight, so they might have some trouble scoring tonight. Gl.

Cubs back after winning an emotional series themselves in St. Louis...they will be the ones that have the letdown. This is a perfect spot to play the Padres.

padres undervalued all year, tonight is no exception. Cubs overvalued all year, tonight is no exception. Does that mean Padres win for sure, hell no, but this team is a lot better than the sum of their individual parts and play fundamental baseball...and keep winning

the padres discussed this scenario before yesterdays game. win or lose, be ready for the cubs. one game at a time. b black easy nl manager of the year.

Everyone keeps waiting for San Diego to collapse, it ain't happening folks this team is legit and the Ludwick and Tejada acquisitions made them even better.
They will be in the playoffs
