$200 entry fee a little steep but nice payots...

Payouts - The 2010 CARIB CLASSIC Place Prize
1st $65,000
2nd $25,000
3rd $15,000
4th $7,500
5th $5,000
6th thru 10th $2,000
11th thru 20th $1,500
*Last place (Biggest Loser) $7,500

I would love to know that number of people that go for "last place" instead of trying to win first??

The Pick 10 weekly contest that goes along with it for $250 total entry seems real cool too. Thanks for posting.

I started playing it last year. It is 200 which includes both end of year and weekly prizes. They cut down the amount of prize money ,but Carib still throws a lot in the pot. If I remember correctly there was a total of over 350,000 paid out and a little over 600 players. There was some early discounts when you got in . I figure they probably only collected about 125,000 from entries, so Carib actually contributed the rest. Little wonder the prize fund is less this year, but it is still a good deal.

How was your experience with this contest?? anyone know about how many entries they get?

Its a fun ccontest, well organized.

The thing is I got put on strange limits at CARIB after I beat them for a ton, they wont let me bet more or less then $500 per game. Ive seen books with maximums, but this is the first book ive seen with minimums.

SS that is strange..have you asked recently about that?/

I have one book that does not let me wager less than $20 for some reason and a max of $200...but I cant make a $10 6 team parlay parlay for example..$500 minimum is amazing.????

Ive found crib nearly impossible to beat they don't have reduced juice and do not have any weak slow to move numbers--how did you beat them??? Am I missing something....I beat them once by winning a huge carryover p[ick 15 parlay type card I was the only winner and won 25k..but other than that I have done nothing at that book over the 12 years Ive been there...

I think 4 years I played that contest..man that was one hard to win contest..I dont think I ever cracked the top 20 season rankings and even weekly did next to nothing...so I have not played recently..one year I was in contention and forgot somehow to put in picks one week......phuck...

wow really?

when things were going well CARIB was the easiest book for me to beat, I was like a kid in a candy store. now if I make a bet there the line AUTOMATICALLY moves.... their software has it set so any bet I make moves the line.

I came in 6th last year but was sick to my stomach. Had a 4 1/2game less with 4 weeks to go and had my worst week on the next to last week.

I got 6th place 2 years ago and won $5,000 when the payouts were a little more. Its a fun contest, but like BC Eagle mentioned boy its get stressful near the end. I was in 2nd place with 2 weeks to go and then pulled out a 1-9 week, recovered a bit in the final week to get back to 6th but makes you wonder what could of been if I hadn't shit the bed week 16

weird because the lines I was seeing were on SportsOptions, and when I logged in they were as OFF as they were displayed on SportsOptions, leading me to beleive they were not dealing dual lines.

I had a similar experience to Savant with regards to soft lines. I suspect it may be time-zone related, I don't know if SS worked the night shift or something but in my case I was mainly beating them to early-day moves when I was in the UK, so overnight / v. early morning US time.
