here are the stats:

MIL - 29.5%, 31.4%, 25.5%, 30.9%
STL - 35.3%, 26.5%, 45.1%, 19.6%

WOLF - 26.1%, 18.2%
WAINWRIGHT - 9.1%, 10.0%

my take on this game.....

the brewers are one of the most average 1st inning teams across the board, which is good if you can find another angle in a given game. i try and stay away from the cardinals at home because their stats are all over the place. both Wolf and Wainwright are solid NO's, but Wainwright comes with a price because he is such a big name and has the ERA to match. Wolf is more of a sleeper.

the cardinals 1-4 hitters are .259 off Wolf and the brewers are .200 off Wainwright. nice for a NO. a day game after a night game also helps a NO. however, by my crazy math and a scale of 1 to 100 (1 being NO and 100 being YES), the cardinals scoring get a 58, the brewers get a 16.

i would put a line of EV/-130 on this game. i'm guessing most houses will have it more like +115/-145. either way, i personally never lay more chalk than -130 and normally try and stay on the dog side of -115. i look more for line value than pure stats.

overall, by the numbers, the game should be a NO... but it wouldn't even make my short list because of the juice. good luck whatever you decide!
