Since August 9th - I have made 12 wagers in MLB.
Of those 12 games 5 were blown saves, ALL of them NOT in my favor...check it out.
Game #1 Monday August 9th - Milwaukee Brewers - Axford come in to get 1 run game save from Diamondbacks - result LOSS
Game #2 Thursday August 12th - Boston Red Sox up 3 runs heading into the 9th, and Papelbon gives up 4 runs to the Jays in the final at bat - result LOSS
Game #3 Thursday August 14th - Chicago White Sox. Tigers get a runner on in 1-2 ballgame then hit the go ahead home and win 3-2 - result LOSS
Game #4 Tuesday August 17th - Minnesota Twins. M. Capps comes in a 1 run ballgame and serves up a game tying homer to Alexi Rameriz. - result WON, on (Thome homer).
Game #5 Wednesday August 18th - Toronto/Oakland Under 7.5. A's head into 9th up 4-1 and give up 3 quick runs to go over the total - result LOSS
I am not complaining - I have been a sports handicapper for awhile, long enough to know that the 9th inning counts just as much as all of the others.
Record over these 12 games 6-6. Just wondering if anyone has hit a rough patch like this before?
I maybe lose about 3-4 games in an entire season to blown save opportunities. I only bet on average 5-6 games a week, and this is what I do for a living. Not crying, it's part of what we do.
