Rangers historically always fall off in the 2nd half every year...it just so happens that the Angels could not keep up with their rediculous pace over the first 100 or so games of the year. Looks like they will sneak into the playoffs with a slimmer lead then people thought.
You should take a closer look at their schedule since the break:
@ Boston
@ Detroit
vs LAA
vs Oak
@ LAA
@ Sea
@ Oak
vs NYY
vs Boston
@ Tampa
@ Baltimore
They're now 18-16 since the All-Star break through today's game. Before starting this road trip, they were 17-11 since the All-Star Break. They've done that w/o Kinsler (or any other 2B that contributed), a slumping Vlad Guererro (hit .210 in July & now up to .244 since the break), and have been playing the last 10ish games with what would amount to 3-4 AAA players. I wouldn't exactly call that fading.
Today though, I played Orioles +1.5 (+125) for a single unit! Add that to hitting the under yesterday and Thursday for 4 combined units...I can't complain!
