back end of a huge road trip, traveling to from Chicago to Colorado. and from LA to Wash to Chicago, to Colo with not one day off in between! huge lay down game. they have to be exhausted and coming off scoring 16 runs today in Wrigley...I would not be surprised if the bats go cold. Plus Hammel as a nice 3.36 ERA @ home. would like to wait to as close to game time as possible to get a nice price....problem is though...think the oddsmakers are aware of this, opening the line only at -125 with Hudson. major bait. :grandmais

For what its worth ,Hudson has not pitched well at all in Coors career wise. I agree with you 100% Bol

one more thing....Hammel throws/features a hard HEAVY sinker/fastball combo. I don't care who you are...you travel that much and play 11 days straight...your bat is going to be alittle slow getting through the zone, Braves are going to feel like they are hitting a medicine ball tomorrow.

damn. was expecting to wake up today getting a better line on Colo with the public hammering the Braves......but ATL has dropped to almost -115. good thing tho...

I completely agree with your logic. Add to the fact that the Rockies are strong at home (38-20) and the Bravos are so-so (29-34) away from Atlanta. Along with the 'sucker' line on Hudson, who is pitching lights out lately.

Would like to be getting a better price on the home team but I'm afraid it's not happening.

I did see Hudson's bad history at Coors, but he only had 2 starts, pretty small sample size. Also in a small sample size, braves hitters are hitting 18 for 39 vs. Hammel (.462)

I agree the only thing that makes a little iffy on the game is that the yanks are pretty damn good without arod in the line up.

Jason Hammel (8-7, 4.36), who will try for his first victory against the Braves as he takes the mound for Colorado.

The right-hander is 0-2 with a 12.66 ERA in three starts versus Atlanta, and given up 12 runs and 17 hits in 4 2/3 innings of his last two outings against the Braves. He allowed seven runs over 1 2/3 innings of a 9-5 loss at Atlanta on April 16.:scared1:

man these guys like to make you sweat. 3-0 lead was cut to 3-2 than 4-2 lead cut to 4-3. Prado hit a 2 run home run to dead center on a pitch that was at the brim of his freaking helmet.........

6 more outs to go. :smoking: I hope they use Belisle for the 8th and 9th, do not want to see Houston Street....

Nice call NYMETS and very good observation right across the board, especially the bait on Hudson.
