Sat out the day yesterday. As August nears an end and both the NCAA and NFL football regular seasons are just over the horizon, I will be posting fewer MLB games and gradually turn my attention towards football. One play for tonight.

As I mentioned to you, I just can't figure out the Giants. They now have all the hitting they need, but I never know when their starting pitching will show up.

As you have attested, I've had a pretty good handle on Cincinnati all year but just as bad a read on the Giants. This is the worst I have seen Wood. Missing the plate. No location or control and Baker couldn't read that and let's the game go from 4-2 to 7-2 in a heart beat. That's why I never liked him when he managed the Giants, particularly his move in Game 6 of the World Series against the Angels.

Big game still going on in Philadelphia with the Wild Card implications. If the Phillies lose and the Giants win, there would be a 3 way tie with St. Louis for that spot. It's going to get interesting in September.

u know what....when is aid that i didnt even realize uw ere onr eds...i posted it because i bet giants in 3 team parlay for 200 to win 900....i figured iw as rooting with u.....then i just saw its 7-5 i went in here to say sorry for jinxing your boys.....

ALL THAT ANALYSIS IS GOOD AND ALL, by im convinced atlanta plays less than .490 ball the rest of the way, they cant score, they will come back to the pack.....phils will eat them up way before they ever caught mets

u know me....love chasing my bad early plays...luckily the jays tanked well before the 8pm games and gave me plenty of time to plan my attack

Sort of off topic......Ted, we have an a.m. radio station here in Portland that now carries the Giants radio network.
Just love listening to their games on the radio. Even if I got nothing on the particular game. I really enjoy listening
to the hall of famer every day now.
