for what its worth i dont know how good of a play the blue jays are today. Even though they did beat the yanks last night, Scherzer has given 2 or less runs in the last 5 starts which are also quality starts. The blue jays havnt had back to back victories in a while. I could also see the jay's sitting bautista so he can gear up for the next long stretch of games (but that is a guess). Ricky is recovering from strep throat and has given up at least 4 runs in 2 out of his 3 last outings. Romero is 1-2 with a 4.4 ERA verse detroit. With the jays having a decently heavy amount of right handed batters i personally feel that it is a good matchup for Scherzer. Plus i think there is a lot of value for Detroit here. I could very possibly see a detroit blow-- but hey who knows (that is why they call it betting)

hno: but carpenter going against zimmermann who is coming off tommy john surgery and pitching for the first time this year, sounds pretty good to me. Plus, Carpenter is 5-1 with a 3.56 ERA against the Nats and Zimmermann is 0-1 with a 7.94 ERA against the Cards.

I have no opinion on the play.....but in my opinion I think your part of a core group that we have here that makes this forum great.
