Was told by a friend last night that i need to convert to Vonage, he said he had been using for two years, kept his old phone number and talked overseas or anywhere else for that matter almost free. My question is this. Do you not have to have an internet connection and if service goes out due to a storm or something does that mean your telepho:think2:ne will not work.Thinking about putting in at my office with three phones but definitely can't have service go out or have bad reception. I had been told a t one time the voice was very bad and there was a time lapse after they talk before you talk. Is this right?

You lose your internet, you lose your phone. I found the quality of the service was fine.

It's a good product...you can't tell the difference between them and normal analog phones..as long as you have good and stable internet connection...you are good to go...

Although I do use Vonage, Magic Jack is the way to go. Much easier to take with you and MUCH cheaper. Look into this before you go with Vonage. I think I will be making the switch this month.

Pretty much what you pay for Vonage in one month is a whole year for Magic Jack.
