Continuing the search for a Mechanical Power Rating System, that will select winners at a 50% clip.

This is day 3 of the search. All posted here at the RX.

Power Rating System: 3-1 (+2.85 units)
(+$285 for the $100 bettor)
Avg payback on winners (+1.27)

Plays for saturday aug 28

5. Redsox

6. Phillies

I will bet these plays later today and will use the closing line at covers for record keeping.

If the Twins or the Cardinals move to an Underdog today, they will also become a play. Im not sure if ill be around to post that info but the closing line at covers can be used for record keeping. (+1.00) will constitute a play on either the cards or twins today.

This system is exactly what the title says.. A Power "RATING" System, with the key word being RATING. I have done very little back testing as its almost impossible to do, as many of the ratings change almost daily.

More tomorrow, as we progress thru the remainder of the season. I will tell you this, if it works for baseball, it should work for hockey as well.

Here is a list (by league) for my Power Rating System. This is merely a list and ---in no way--- determines how the wagers are selected. This list would determine a selection if all games were played on a neutral field and does not take into account (Home/Away) ratings...

NL Overall Ratings as of Aug 28, if games were played on a neutral field.

1. Padres
2. Phillies
3. Cards
4. Braves
5. Reds
6. Giants
7. Marlins
8. Rockies
9. Dodgers
10. Mets
11. Brewers
12. Astros
13. Nationals
14. Cubs
15. Dbacks
16. Pirates

AL Overall Ratings as of aug 28, if games were played on a neutral field

1. Yanks
2. TB Rays
3. Twins
4. Texas
5. Boston
6. Whitesox
7. Bluejays
8. Tigers
9. Oakland
10. Angels
11. Royals
12. Indians
13. Seattle
14. Baltimore

the Phillies (+1.10) cashed, assuring a profitable day, regardless of the boston play.. i waited too long on this play, as the line dropped slowly most of the day...

there was no play on the twins or cards today, i could not get either at a (+1.00) price.

decent little (4-1) start.... we will see how it goes..

boston lost.. so your record should be 4-2. you did mentioned how you waited too long and line dropped but didn't say you did not play this game due to line dropping. so assuming you did make play on boston, your record is 4-2.
