Honestly the best thing to do is to open a free account at Photobucket.com or another free pics storage site and store them there.
Then when you want to post something here or anywhere else just post the direct image link.....

As for deleting existing uploaded attatchments....
Go to SETTINGS in top right hand corner.
In the left hand colum on the next page towards the bottom, you will see Miscellaneous - attatchments.
The following page will give you the option to select and deltet the ones you want to rid of.
