Well, been a while, still getting my feet wet after a 2 month unscheduled leave of absence. Amazing what fighting for your life will do for your perspective on things, but I would recommend therapy instead of cancer, LOL. OK, going into shoulder high water here and willing to take a risk on the birds. I like the way Matusz is pitching right now, beating Colby Lewis 4-0 and Buerhle 4-2 in his last two outings. Let's face it, Beckett is anything but the Beckett we're used to from years past. Yeah, he came running out the gate from the injury, but that was against SEA, LAA and the doormat of the AL Central Cleveland Indians. Once he hit quality teams, the damn burst wide ass open. I see no advantage either way in the BP, and yes, Baltimore's BA against righties or lefties for that matter has been abysmal last 10, but 6 of those games were roadies, and the four at home, they hit the ball well in 3 against TX taking two of the series and losing 2, one of the losses a 0-2 shutout. I watched the BoSox/TB game Sunday night and I'm not sold on their makeshift lineup. Frankly, the only thing, IMO, keeping them going is pitching and their worst starter is on the mound tonight. Martinez is listed as probable for tonight, but anyone watching that game Sunday has to believe as I do he'll be anything but 100%. That was a hell of a hit he took. So bottom line is, I'm willing to roll the dice with the birds at this price and against tonight's Sox lineup. GLTA as always.
