Don't know if anyone else is looking at this (e.g. BillHill) but in the month of August, they're 13-3 to the RL win in games won. Again, as in April/May, if you think they're gonna win, best to take a chance on the RL to drop the juice. JMHO, all welcome to chime in.
Man, work with me here. I don't see Hughes losing two in a row (but hey, who'd thought Wainwright would drop 3). Granted, very limited history between the two pitchers and opposing teams, but edge certainly to the Bronx. Don't think A's are mathematically eliminated, but I'll bet on me winning the Masters before I bet on the A's getting a wild card. Yanks in the dogfight of several years now with the Rays over the East crown and they proved it to me last night (yes, had the A's with their ace on the mound and I'd do it again). So all that air of mine blown, Y is Hughes fadeable tonight??? Appreciate the input.
It's 100 degrees in the Bronx, and Hughes has a little bit of a tired arm.
I'm expecting a line something like this, Hughes 4 .2 innings pitched, 5 runs, 4 earned, 7 hits, 1 walk.
A's up 5-2 after 5 innings.
You taking action on that? I'm willing to press my Philly bet from last night, LOL. We'll see, but for some reason, Oakland and Yankee Stadium mix like cats and water. And I'll double press on which team is more accustomed to the heat as well. GL tonight and thanks for your response.
LOL, we got a saying out here in the middle of the country....."don't drink from a poisoned well twice." BTW, I've seen a couple of your posts over in college football and will be on the bus with you collecting tokens on the Huskies. Should be mighty salty this season, probably will go ahead and take the 3 against MI but haven't committed yet. GL tonight.
