First off I also want to thank wil, SS, BAS and all the other guys in charge, who made this bash possible and made sure, that we all had a great time in Vegas.
Unfortunately I already had made some travel plans and only could manage to make it to LV for Sat. + Sun., but it was well worth it. I was a bit tired on Sat., because of the 12hrs flight on Thursday and spending several hrs at the airport on Saturday again (flight from SF to LV got delayed for 2hrs) and therefore I was even more quiet than I use to be.
SportSavant - nice to finally meet you in person. I had a great time on Saturday thanks to you and the other guys.
Dante - Now I know, why everybody who met you kept telling me, that you are one of the nicest and funniest guys around there. This guy is always smiling and one of the most humble persons out there.
Too bad we didnt get to play some poker together on Sunday, but after hanging out at the PH sportsbook on Sunday, I went over to play some BJ + poker at the MGM (and ran incredibly bad): Ran into my fav. BJ dealer at the MGM and when I walked up to her table, she started laughing and even remembered my name, although I hadnt been to LV for 14 months...so I guess I should cut down on BJ playing hrs :lol:
BAS - Nice to see you again and meeting your lovely wife. Can't get John out of my head though, that guy made a lasting impression on me. 84 but still in great shape, was nice talking to him, too.
QL - Another great guy I got to meet on Saturday night and enjoyed talking to: If you ever make it to Munich for Octoberfest and I'm still living there, make sure to send me a PN before you make the trip.
sharky99 - Fun guy to be around and the 3 women, he brought along were absolutely gorgeous.
VD - Unfortunately we only got to talk for a couple of minutes. But I'm glad I finally met you and if everything works out as planned, I'd love to see you again this Jan. or Feb. in CR.
Iceman - Probably the biggest surprise to me, that I finally also got to meet Iceman and his amazingly beautiful wife. Was really nice talking to you and hopefully you start blogging again soon ;-)
FairWarning - Another fun guy I got to hang out with Saturday night and that man sure can drink :lol:
FishHead - Although we didnt talk that long, but I enjoyed talking soccer with you.
Gravy - Only met him shortly in the sportsbook, but very friendly and humble guy. Hopefully we get to spend more time in the sports-/racebook next year.
Sorry if I left out anybody out, just wanted to thank everyone I met during these 2 days and I had a blast in LV although it was just 2 days and I missed the bash itself in Friday.
If anybody puts together a mini bash in March, I would def. try to make it over to that event again and if there is a bash in 2011, you can already count me in for sure :lol:
