I know I started similar thread a few months ago, but Spike TV (CBS's cable affiliate) in running the entire Hawaii 5-0 original series to promote CBS's new Hawaii 5-0 series later this month.
A few observations:
40 years later this show still stands the test of time, and truly was the granddaddy of the genre.
It's painfully obvious that CSI Miami 'borrowed' the Hawaii 5-0 formula, after watching a few episodes it's plain as day David Caruso was acutly influenced by Jack Lord. (Steven McGarrett)
Jack Lord was one of the best at what he did.
David Caruso could not and never will carry Jack Lord's acting jock strap.
I still maintain CBS should not revive this Hall of Fame series.
