Delgado flew to Colorado on Wednesday in order to be examined by Dr. Marc Phillipon, who performed his previous two hip surgeries. He'll return to Pawtucket in order to go over the potential treatment options, however surgery hasn't been ruled out. "He felt fine when he signed," said Sloane. "He was playing. He was headed in right direction. All of a sudden, he felt pain there. Everything at this point is up in the air. He’s going to need some time to think about the next step." One wonders if that next step might be retirement.
