Dallas Braden is disappointed in Yankee fans. The Oakland hurler joked earlier this week that the Bronx faithful "had a while to come up with some good stuff," and he expected to be derided by creative chants and boos during Thursday's start. Instead, he heard little from the home crowd.

"I was expecting more," said Braden, who verbally sparred with Alex Rodriguez early this season before throwing a perfect game against Tampa Bay on May 9. "They get an 'F' in my book."

With no heckling - and no A-Rod, who is on the disabled list - Braden graded higher than that in holding the Yanks to one run - on a home run by Jorge Posada - over five-plus innings before leaving with cramps.

Braden felt the cramps in the fourth, stretched out and tried to remain in the game, but he exited after plunking Derek Jeter in the sixth and throwing one strike to Curtis Granderson.

"I didn't know what the hell was going on," Braden said. "It felt like my leg was going to fall off."

Asked if the toughest part of the afternoon was not being able to stick it to the Yankees and their fans, Braden replied, "Absolutely, I wanted to shove it, period. I've said it all year, these are the types of teams and types of players that you play against that serve as your measuring stick

Few points Mr. Braden.

#1. If your main priority for months is to 'stick it' to the Yankees at the Stadium, then you really are really screwed up.
You should be focusing on your next start after your last start, not looking months ahead for a 'revenge' game.

#2. I'm a lifelong NY Yankee fan, believe me Mr. Braden, I know a thing or two about heckling, you did not get any 'Bronx Cheers" because we know that's what you wanted. Yankee fans are a lot of things, dopes we are not.

#3. To get heckled in NYC, you need to be one of two things, you need to be of significance, or your team needs to be of significance.
Case in point, When Manny played for Boston, he and the Red Sox got heckled, know why? Because they were of significance.
You sir, and your team, is not.

p.s. nobody is buying your cramp act. You were getting schooled by CC and you took a page out of Richie, Venus, and Serena Willams page book.

the yankees just moved up a notch or two in my list of favorite teams. 40k people collectively denying an opponent such satisfaction is right up my alley! but not today. today im a brandon morrow fan

stuff like this is why the yankees will always be the yankees. opposing players look forward to playing there and get giddy talkin about the experience. well, that and the lack of a salary cap.
