U wanna see a fix?

i have zero dollars on this game....watching as a fan who knows the braves are already down 6-0......

phils game

2nd and 3rd 1 out, prince fielder up......first base is open, lefties hit .320 off kendrick, and RIGHTY casey mcghehee a double play candidate on deck, and it simply make sense to set up forces at every base, even if it wasnt the other teams best left handed hitter...........let alone the other teams best slugger

first pitch cookie, 3 run homer 500 feet......

maybe the total, maybe the side, no clue, but it doesnt make baseball sense or logical sense to throw a strike to any teams cleanup hitter there, let alone one of the best HR hitters in the league.....

so is it a fix or terrible coaching?

and how can u coach this terribly when ur 1 game out of first place, and your team ur chasing is almost a lock to lose?

its not a fix,philly loses because i'm on them,if i bet it it loses-thats my slogan,took the phils and the games over in 4 min-

they dont know ur on it....the fact that fielder saw a pitch is what doesnt make sense....even if the guy hits .200 , if he isnt a strikeout candidate the baseball play is to set up a force

By the time stamp on this thread, I'd say this game was in the first or second inning.
Now I am not a big Manuel fan, but he's not really an idiot, my guess is he was hoping to get Fielder on a K, and the pitcher missed with a meatball.

If there was an umpire involved, I might buy the fix theory, but I really think this was a case where the pitcher hung a pitch by mistake, after all Prince is just as much a strike out machine as Casey is a DP machine.

they aren't going to put runners on base like that this early in the game. You should know as well as anyone that Kendrick has had absolutely no command his last 4 starts...so stop with the fix theory and he purposely served up a cookie to Fielder. Kendrick lately has no idea where the ball is going when the throws it. missed location bad. and that alone is another reason why Charlie didn't walk the bases loaded.

they have 1 left handed hitter during the entire rally.....and manuel knows the numbers.....lefties .320 or better, let alone a good lefty.....

they are better off taking the chance he might walk in a run......theres zero chance of k'ing fielder on a good day, let alone when hes off....why cant it be a fix?....

i have no money involved, it just looks like the stupidest decision possible u could make there, even if fielder wasnt a masher......its the worse possible scenario in what is a pretty obvious situaton......if his name was albert pujols or barry bonds, u would be agreeing with me....

the fact that average lefties hit .320 off him, should make fielders chances .400

it doesnt have to be fixing the game...maybe its the over? but its just clearly the dumbest thing they could have done.

what changed? its not like fielder was a rook who just emerged in that 1st at bat? ....inconsistency like this means 1 of 2 things......corruption or stupidity

well..that game was pretty ridiculous as well when u consider they walked in 2 runs, in one inning, and gave up 2 runs on one sacrifice fly.......

florida wound up winning....

all i was saying bout philly was i hope it was a fix, because the decision to pitch to fielder is otherwise stupidity which somehow he figured out by the 3rd inning?

so like i said....if its not fixed...its pure stupidity......it was a 3 run disaster that was easily avoidable or possible to minimize the damage.
