I would argue that it is different covering games against BCS opponents when you are flying under the radar / reasonable underdog than it is coming into the season ranked higher / favored to win, however valid that trend may be. Not to say that teams didn't know how good Boise State was the last 2 seasons, but there is no doubt a psychological factor coming into the season ranked #3 in the country, and added pressure, this team has not yet faced.
I think that Boise St has a big advantage at the QB position, but I dont think that when you give VT virtual homefield in a prime time slot, with Frank Beamer and Bud Foster an entire offseason to study and gameplan Boise's attack, you will see anything CLOSE to a throttling here. Not even close.
