Cyberspace is buzzing about Google's bouncing balls.
The popular search engine has unveiled its latest logo lunacy and Google-philes are getting their giggles playing with the colorful dots.
The latest Google logo design is a rare interactive which responds to your mouse, shattering the word "Google" into red, blue, orange, yellow and green circles. When left unmolested, the balls settle into the popular company name which has over the last decade become a verb.
Several websites have attempted to unravel a supposed mystery to the logo, which many suggest has a hidden message or deeper meaning, outside of being a clever gimmick geared to get Web-obsessed bloggers chatting.
Google often develops logos to celebrate anniversaries and holidays. Generally, they are accompanied by links which reveal the artist or meaning. This latest clever concoction is absent of such a helpful hint, which has sparked the conspiracy theories.
Google itself isn't talking, offering up only a short explanation:
"Today's doodle is fast, fun and interactive, just the way we think search should be," a spokesperson told the Daily News.
So is there a Google logo hidden message?
"We'll leave it at that," the spokesperson said.
According to London's The Guardian, the bounty of bouncing balls is about CSS3, a new version of the popular web code used to design websites. CBS suggests it could relate to a birthday.
Google's domain was first registered on September 15, 1997, but it has previously recognized its creation with artwork on different days in September.
