Derek Dooley needs to release Bryce Brown from his scholarship. Brown was recruited by another coach in Lane Kiffin and as a result, he should be released from his scholarship.

Brown is the only notable player from the Kiffin "era" who asked for his release, so Dooley should do the right thing and give him his release..

Instead Dooley is being stubborn. He needs to put himself in the player's shoes and give him a chance to be close to home. Dooley will not score points with future recruits in my opinion either, rather probably lose some as a result of his actions here.

What do you think on this matter?

He's definitely being a dick by not releasing him and making him pay his own way at KState.

Here's Dooley's quote on the matter:

"As with the other players who have asked for a release, I went through the same process with the same criteria with Bryce," Dooley said. "These are the three key factors - what their personal investment into the program was, did they have their heart into it and did they give it a good, fair shot. No. 2, the harm that their departure creates for the organization. No. 3, how they handle it as a professional."

The guy couldn't even pull out a .500 record after 3 years as a coach in the WAC... never liked the hire really. We'll see how it turns out.
