Just heard their new single, they sound like a U2 wanna be band.
I don't understand why this band has a huge following, their last single got stupid air play for months, I don't get it.

Any fans of Kings of Leon care to explain what I am missing?

It's not that they are garbage as much as they are so ordinary but gets all the air play.

I'm a big Kings Of Leon fan. I like stuff like The Killers, Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, The Bravery, etc.

My favorite radio station here in Portland KNRK 94.7 FM plays all that type of great music.

Have you heard Brandon Flowers first solo single?

They play it in their rotation here several times a day. I'm a super huge Killers fan too.
I missed them last time they were here in town and I still want to kick my own ass for it.

Saw the Killers at the Borgata in AC.
We were 10 feet away from the stage.

kings of leon used to be great... listen to molly's chamber and california waiting.... now they sold out and sound like crap

Kings sound has changed slightly since the "made it big". However, the lead has a great voice and they put out some good hits on their last album. I think they are far, far from a "U2 wanna be" band. And when you talk about U2 are you talking pre-1992 or post-1992. U2 completely changed their sound around 1992/93 and have been a shit band ever since! Pre-92 was incredible!

Coach, listen to the new single the Top 40 stations are playing in rotation, and compare it to Bono of recent years.
I find it quite similar.
