i think so, i use the $99 version and it helps me a lot. You can find the best lines quickly and also get injury info, weather, umpires,tv listings, etc... saves me lots of time. It pays for itself over time by getting the best numbers for your plays. I don't have to look at every book I'm at to see who has the best line. I only have to look at 2-3 who are not on SO. Plus they have good tech support, I had some problems a few months back with my laptop not opening the program and the tech guy was on the phone with me for over 1/2 hour until we got it fixed.

I think the best advice is to try a month and see if you like it. If it helps you keep it if you don't find it useful don't renew.

If you make a lot of bets (probably over 150 per month) at $200 or more and are mostly interested in finding the best numbers, middling, and scalping....and you have money in a good number of books (at least 7-8 prob)...then it may be worth it to you.

For a $50 player who has money in 2-3 books...I can't imagine the stats/matchups/injury info being nearly enough to pay for even the $100 option per month

I have a question also. I have heard about Sports Insights over the years and seen posters ask about them in threads.
Are Sports Insights and Sports Options similar like say comparing Coke and Pepsi as far what they offer or is it like comparing
apples to oranges with both being totally different. If they are similar I would be curious as to how fellow posters who have
subscribed to both would compare them as far as strengths or weakness to the other one.

Imo if you not using live lines on a daily thing, you are betting with your eyes close..........ck

i had SI a couple different times, think it was 80 bucks a month.....they were very useful, i really enjoyed the fact that they had archives that went back several years, so it was fairly easy if you were into researching the outcomes of games that involved reverse line moves, or if you were trying to find out how many +180 dogs won in baseball over the previous couple seasons....or if you were into back checking public betting percentages.....never used SO, but they sound very much like SI, so if someone's putting in a couple dimes a month in plays, i think it would be well worth it....but for the smaller guy like me, betting 10 or 20 bucks here and there, not worth it....would love to win me a year's subscription though

Hey BB -

Here are some of the advantages of using SportsOptions:

  1. Get the best line available when you make your bets. Even if you only have a few outs, you know where to go right away, do you don't miss out on the line.
  2. Knowing when to place your bets. By looking at the lines from 60 sportsbooks, you can get an idea of which way a line is trending and know when to make a bet early and when to wait.
  3. Breaking injuries. Not necessarily for chasing the injuries, but just having the right information when you make your plays. And if an injury does come in on one of your plays, getting it early will give you the option to get off some of your bet before the line moves.
  4. Key Move Alerts give you early notification of big moves.
  5. Tools like Odds Watch and Middle Alerts help you get the lines you are looking for as soon as they are available.
  6. System Plays. Right now we have SO Office (12-3 for the year) plays and Computer plays, and will be adding 3 new System plays this week.
A $50-$200 player will absolutely benefit from our service. At that level, our Standard service is probably the right fit. At $200+ per game, our Pro service is the right fit.

Thanks
Rick

I personally love it for NBA/basketball season

It definitely helped me win more than a handful of games last season due to differences in lines and very late scratches of starting players in the lineup...

There is no comparison between Sports Option and Sports Insights. S/o is hands down a lot better and a lot quicker with the injury reports. There is a lot more information available with S/o.

It is well worth the $300.

I just wish they'd add betfirstclass, Nine, and Beted to the books, but even without, it's great.
