Supposedly there going to announce today that Don Mattingly will take over for Joe Torre as Dodgers Manager next year.

I was thinking that Larry Bowa may get that job. He may not have even been interested. The truth is, with all that is going on with the ownership, managing the Dodgers probably isn't that desirable for anyone with experience.

With the whole divorce thing going on Mattingly was the best cheapest option there. I do think he will do fine but with the payroll continuing to decrease next year it may not matter.

you would think here in his hometown people would be excited, lot of buzz about it, etc.....no one really even seems to care......he and his family leave such a poor impression anywhere they go, with the smugness and acting as if they are gracing you with their presence, that people just don't root for him anymore.....just another reason why his restaurant, in one of the best and busiest areas of town, tanked as well...
