$12Million to Sit on the Bench ?? I Don't think so.

Sorry, but don't think that would be fair to the Team or it's fans.

He was probably one of the top five qbs last year, but he started the year with an injury, his offensive weapons don't seem as crisp, and his o-line is dramatically worse. When you ask him to be part of Peterson's offense, he's good. When you ask him to be the peyton manning of the vikes, he just can't do it. I wouldn't ever ask a future hall of famer to retire, but he is beginning to be to football what shaq is to basketball, imo.

Should Roy Jones, Jr. continue to fight?
Should Julio Franco have continued to play when he was 48?
Should Alonzo Mourning have played in 2007?
Should Patrick Ewing have played another 3 years after his knees gave out?
Should Omar Vizquel be a 43 year old .230 hitting platoon player?
Should Sugar Ray Leonard have retired and unretired 4 times?
Should Deion Sanders have unretired 4 years later and returned to play with the Ravens at age 37?
Should Arnold Palmer have played in a PGA event in 2005?
Should Jerry Quarry have continued to fight at a time when family members had to help him get dressed?
Should Dikembe Mutombo have played in 2002?
Should Junior Seau remain on the Patriots roster?
Should Chris Chelios contnue to play at age 48?
Should Johnny Unitas have played his last 5 years when his TD/INT ratio was 38-64?
Should Steve Carlton have pitched 3 seasons after turning 40 then go a sickly 16-37?
Should Evander Holyfield continue to fight?
Should Gordie Howe have skated for the Whalers?
Should Emitt Smith have played 2 more seasons with Arizona after being released by Dallas?
Should Rickey Henderson really have to play for the Newark Bears in the Atlantic League?
Should Jerry Rice have to stick around long enough to be cut by Denver in training camp?
Should Muhammad Ali really need to return in 1980 and lose 2 straight decisions?
Should Michael Jordan have to comeback 4 years after that last shot that won an NBA title?

Can 15 minutes really save you 15 % or more on car insurance with Geico?

Favre is a punk. If they lose to the Lions this weekend they will go 0-7. I do not see Favre sticking around for that shit. He will QUIT!!! He will ave the Vikings make up some bullshit like he needs more ankle surgery and they will IR his ass for half his salary back.

He's still better then over half the QB's in the league right now. He just doesn't have anyone to throw to. This team is not the same team as last year. Farve is one of the toughest players to ever play the game. Who else could retire 3x and unretire at will?

But seriously, he was one pass away from getting to the superbowl. Minn has just had a string of bad luck this year.

Favre and the Vikings don't deserve to win shit this year with their "Casey At The Bat" approach to the season. Did they think they were going to just automatically pick up where they left off last year and hope they could secure home field this time around?

I have seen Favre put up numbers with lesser talent and greener players than what he currently has right now. The difference from then and now is Brett showed up for the preseason and practiced and got on the same page with his weapons. Because he was hungry then. Now Brett Favre is so self-entitled and coddled that he thinks just because he played all of these years he should be given a ride off into the sunset ring and Elway ending.

In 2008 Brees played most of the year without Colston, Meachum, Bush, Shockey, and a hobbled Deuce coming off his second ACL tear in 3 years. What did he do that year? Just threw for over 5000 yards and just 12 yards shy of breaking Dan Marino's mark. That's the work of a QB who puts in the extra time to make him successful at his craft.

Sidney Rice is an average receiver who just so happens to get 75% plays designed to get him open. He is no Randy Moss or Andre Johnson freak of a receiver. The NFL is a professional sport. All of these players in the league have the ability to produce all it takes is the opportunity. Miles Austin wasn't some high draft pick, heavily scouted breakout player in the works. He was an undrafted free agent and he was buried on the depth chart for years because he didn't standout in practice and the ball wasn't designed to go his way. Then last year in a stroke of comeback luck on the road in Kansas City, Romo's other options were well covered so he looked this kids way and he broke one. So Romo looked his way again and he ended with a monster game.

Most teams have players in the skill position that are pretty much neck in neck as far skill set. If a #2, #3 or backup was that lousy when called upon to produce then what are they doing on the team in the first place. The Vikings failures all lead to Brett Favre he came into the season thinking he was guaranteed home field advantage just because he is Brett Favre and everybody likes him.

Absolutely! He has been a great player but yet to embrace that he is a middle aged man and it's time to learn what to do with the rest of his life. He knows it but just can't let it go, but pretty sure this will be his last year by his own decision.
