Can't wait for the review, I've been looking forward to this one as well. Perhaps I'll get to it tonight but have family in town so not sure if I can make it.

I don't care about the reviews ! if you watched the first one and liked it, you have to see the sequel ! I have never understood people deciding to watch a movie based on someone else taste. I would have missed some good movies if I did that.

I was either a junior or senior in college when it came out if I can remember right. Maybe 88 or 89. I just remember my roomate was a huge Gordon Geckov(SP) fan and watched it numerous numerous times.

The original Wall Street is a classic, but I don't think it's as good as people make it out to be.

Very solid sequel, falls a little short of the original, but the original is a classic, classic.
Another Oliver Stone solid effort.
Photography and acting was terrific.
50 percent of the plot is domestic, the other 50 percent finance.
Douglas was spot on perfect again, Josh Brolin (the villan) was great, Brolin was the guy Oliver Stone used in 'W' also.
Shia LeBeuof was great as the kid, and Gekko's daughter (Carrie Mulligan, who I never heard of before this) was outstanding.

Two things, it's a long movie, but always holds your interest, and even though it's a fantastic film, it's not exciting, but that's OK, the plot is tremendous.

All in all, I say solid B+, and even though it's doesn't quite measure up to the original, it does the original proud never the less.

I hope this movie does well so Michael Douglas's ex-wife can make a couple bucks. I heard she's suing him for part of his stake because she was married to him when Wall Street was made.

I don't ever pay attention to movie reviews, they're totally worthless in my opinion. In fact, if the critics hate a movie I'm more apt to see it then if they like a movie.

What's worth doing is worth doing for money. - Gordon Gekko

I think alot of fans of Gordon Gekko's character are fans of his control nature. That part in the orginal when Bud Fox meets Gordon for the very first time in his office was great great GREAT! Michael Douglas in that scene was handling about 3 or 4 major deals and ping ponging back and forth between them all...all the while having dialogue with Chalie Sheen until Sheen drops the inside info on Blue Star Airlines in which almost everyone in the room pauses for a moment......great stuff.

She was actually one of last years oscar nominees.

Not very familiar with "Education" but the people who are said she was great in that.
When she first appeared on screen in "Wall Street" I said to myself "she kinda looks familiar", but I was up until this point unfamiliar with what she did in the past.

No longer, she's great.
