Heard this asked many times and the default answer seems to be for the money and betting is certainly more fun if you're winning but was having a chat on MSN with a friend in the UK on the eve of another betting season (break since end april) and we both answered the question of why we gamble simultaneously "I feel alive during betting season".

Now that got me thinking that maybe the stimulation of the analysis, the action, the reward of being proved right are just if not more important than the financial gain.

Easy, it's the rush. Win or lose.

yep... I think its the feeling when your team is up by points late in game and that last drive trying to ice the game and your screaming at people on the tv...

Most gamblers are very competetive....

And everytime someone wagers, they think they have an edge...

I gamble because I really believe that it was introduced to me early and it is in my blood...a passion maybe...

the rush but more importantly beating the man...love the feeling of leaving a casino with a pocket full of their cash. I always take a moment to look back at all the opulence and absorb how good it feels to kick that ass!
