I had a feeling it would be the Giants. Lets hope the bats stay hot like last night.....GL!!
My reasoning is this. Colorado is on a current 4 game losing streak and with 9 games left have fallen pretty far out of a playoff spot. The losses were on the road where they are very weak, but when a team is losing, even coming home doesn't necessarily help. Second, the Giants are playing playoff level baseball and are very confident and very cohesive right now. And very focused on each game. One at a time. Third, Lincecum only went 5 innings last outing against Milwaukee giving up 2 runs, but more importantly only throwing 72 pitches which will make his arm more live. On 9/1 against the Rockies, he pitched 8 innings, giving up 5 hits, 1 earned run on a home run, 1 walk, 9 strikeouts on 103 pitches. Meanwhile, the Rockies have Chacin on the mound and although he has been pitching well, doesn't generally go deep into a game, other then his last start against the Dodgers which could work against him regarding fatigue. Although he beat the Giants earlier, that was in May and July, which is not the team he will face tonight. Add that to the plus moneyline and IMHO, it is worth a play. Best of luck whatever you decide to do tonight! :toast:
