Football is irrelevant to me. I hate that sport. Basketball is the most exciting. I like my baseball the best, kind of a chess match with strategy.

nhl (the playoffs are by far the best)
nfl- (would be #1 except for all the TV timeouts/challanges that really slow the game down)
nba-(i'm a big celtics fan, but going to the nba finals didn't compare to the nhl or nfl playoffs)
breeders cup-except for being able to see and the time between races
ncaa bk-the last few weeks are great and games at campus sites where the students are into
it are incredibly exciting and intense.
ncaa fb- same as ncaa basketball. the home crowd can make the event.
baseball-the playoffs are the best, but the games just slow down when there is more on the line

To separate college from pros and postseason from regular season is proof that it is context that makes the thing exciting, not the sport

In that case even a sport I could never otherwise sit through even five minutes of could come close to matching even my favorite team in the Super Bowl or a game seven just by making a bet

Surprising that this crowd doesn't see it that way
