I just started my carpet buying experience "aka" headache.. I'm moving in the direction of Mohawk Smart strand; from what I've seen and read about it seems to be a great carpet.. I have read some reviews on websites that are good and some are bad. Seems some people are having problems with it staining, ect ect... Have you recently purchased carpet with a stain warranty? what do you think is the best? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I dunno much about carpet once u get past FHA grade (the cheapest thing they sell). But if what u buy comes with a warranty always ck to see if it is a replacement warranty or a repair warranty. With a repair warranty if something goes wrong someone comes to ur house and fixes it free of charge............with a replacement warranty if say u get a 4 x 4 bad spot in the carpet then you call them and a few days later a 4 x 4 piece of carpet is delivered to your door and its up to you to get it replaced and PAY the labor and materials to do so........

If you have pets or Kids, you need a stain resistant carpet. and it's best to get nylons.

At least that's what I was told, and that is what I am currently in the market for.

Just put new rugs and hard wood floors in my shore house. Home Depot was by far the cheapest with the best quality. They also do the install. If you don't have a Home Depot card get one.... they take another 10% or $250.00 off when you open the account. Open the credit card account and charge the rugs. If you play your cards right you might be able to get 12 months 0 interest, like I did. Payed it off in 8 months ....no interest. Did a lot of research on this also with 2-3 estimates. PM me with any questions....

hardwood is the only way to go. You increase the value of your home 20% by having wood flooring. Don't do laminate do wood. Believe me it is worth the extra money..
