I have about 4K in my bookmaker account that I am ready to withdraw. The problem is that I am not eligible for another withdrawal until October 14th and I am concerned about losing the money.

I made the preponderance of the money from online Blackjack, which I will play on occasion. It is easy to assume I will exhibit the good sense of not playing at the casino at all before withdrawing the funds but I am concerned that there might be a slip and that I will lose the money.

This brings me to my question: I know I can have the casino turned off by the book ands I know that I should really hav no problem keeping the money safe with discipline but just to be sure I am instead looking for a bet that will tie up this money until 10/14.

I could bet a huge moneyline favorite for next Sunday's games but the money will still be at risk. What I am really looking for is a way to bet both sides of a game so the money will be tied up and there will be no risk (or little risk). I can certainly bet both sides of any game and lose the -110 (400) but can anyone think of a moneyline bet at bookmaker that I can bet both sides of and come closer to an even proposition?

I trust that I will not blow the money in any case but I would like very much to lock it in and remove the risk.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying here.
Why not sit on the Bookmaker money for 2 weeks, withdraw then, and if you want to keep wagering in the meantime, why not post up a couple of hundy at a 5dimes or something?

Are you wanting to wager the money simply to tie it up until 10-14 so you won't have any available funds to play with in the casino, or do you still have to roll it over?

Also what is the reason you have to wait until 10-14?

One of the weirdest serious posts i've ever seen on here. Shut off the casino. Don't bet more than $200 on games. Then withdrawl on the 14th.

I made a withdrawal on Thursday that won't go through until Tuesday. Bookmaker only allows one withdrawal a week so that means I cannot take out funds again until 10/17. I have had some pretty good luck.

I could turn off the casino, yes. Are you allowed to turn it back on later?

I expected the degenerate comments and I understand them. I have no problem with sportsbetting but online BJ lends itself to tilts. I know I have to do much (!) better with this but right now I just want a way to insure the funds in case of alcohol or stupidity or whatever might cause me to go on tilt and give it all back.

I was hoping to have some suggestions about a moneyline favorite and dog I could bet that would basically insure a tie, not lose too much vig, and lock in the money until 10/17.

The alternative of course is to use common sense and discipline and not make a mistake but I have some concerns and it would be best to tie up the money and remove the temptation.

Many times gamblers crave the action not the amounts as much, so bet max $50 have some fun you deserve it after going on a run and cash out when you can

I just wanted to add that my reticence in turning off the casino is that I would still like to play with some smaller money.

I have about 5,700 right now. I would like to secure 4K and use the rest to bet football and play smaller stakes bj.

No need to tell me that I shouldn't be betting if I don't have this level of control. I have done very well and really its the temptation/possibilty of blowing it that I am trying to remove.

I have to do better controlling online BJ in the future. I know that and this is a problem I will work on. Just wanted an immediate solution to help protect the winnings and make sure I don't so something stupid.

I have to wait until next week's lines come up anyway so tomorrow is when I would look for a push bet in next week's lines. Some combination that assures a tie and doesn't cost as much as 10% vig.

exactly..OR have them BLOCK the casino as it sounds like you may be tempted to go all in at times if your losing BJ hands, many think these games are rigged to an extent as do I and they will get there money back banking on the fact that they think you can not stop playing
so it seems easy just to lay low and block the casino for a few weeks

OP - curious to know... how many times previous to this have you lost to the temptation and blown your bankroll? When's the last few times it happened and for what amounts. (give us an approx. timeline). Your answers may help us determine to what lengths you need to go to protect you from yourself.

Well, I blew it all.

This should give you an idea of my concern.

Within the last hour I lost 5,700 in online blackjack. I then deposited another 250 and lost, another 250 and lost, 500 and lost and 500 more which helped me come back to. . .5,700 which is what I have in my account now.

I am being honest about this even know this will open me up to all kinds of flaming. I know it doesn;t make send, I know I have to do better.

So, to answer your question, it is a real concern. I am still up quite a bit and I don't see another alternative then to call the book and ask that they stop casino play. It is the only decision that makes sense. I'm still up quite a bit and cashed out last week too. Shame it gets so out of control with me. In sports my max bet is 100 and I never chase. Online BJ is an obvious weakness and if I hadn't come back just now it would have been a pretty good bummer for the day..

I'm going to get off the merry-go-round of the casino. Bet $100 on the buffalo m.l. and watch some football happy that I dodged the bullet but sad I exhibited such poor control.

Just thought I should add that this isn't mortgage money or anything. I can afford to lose the money I bet.

disable the casino if you have no control, you are damn lucky to have come back. maybe transfer the money out to Matchbook ( no casino) but BM charges a lot for that.

This online BJ ( to you) is like putting cocaine and alcohol in Lindsay Lohan's cell and then expecting her to pass a drug test. You can't beat this game.

Grog,

A few, if not more, of us on these boards have been thru the online crackjack blues. I battled them from '97 thru 2005. It will not end well if you continue. The $100 sports bet you have riding is nice. You will enjoy knowing you have some action. If the game loses, I am guessing you will be likely to jump online and try to win it back with online crackjack. Am I right? Of course I am. It never ends... and just as you saw today, you will lose it all. It's the nature of that beast. The ONLY answer, as per the extent you have described you are involved... is to get away from it altogether. Do whatever needs to be done to get away from that software.
