I've got a piece of crap 1998 olds bravada that has been leaking gas. I've been putting off getting it fixed b/c i figured it was the fuel pump which i figured costed seveal hundred to get fixed , but it's gotten worse so i took it in.
First i went to an express oil place but they could'nt diagnose it and reccomended i go to a dealer , so i went to a dealership and they said i needed a new spider (???) and said the repair cost would be $2,600. The book value on the car is slightly over 4k so i told the guy i couldnt spend 2,600 on a car that's only worth 4k and the jerk laughed at me and said i couldnt sell it for 500 with it spewing gas like that.
Does anybody know what in the hell a spider is ? i've never heard of it , and does anybody have a suggestion on what i should do ? ^<<^
