Dan "the man" Marino/Shula

To quote myself:

Marino is the best pure passer that the NFL has and will ever see. Never had and running game and they all knew he would pass and he did it to perfection. With all the rule changes in today's game, Marino in his prime would throw close to 6000 yards. There will NEVER be another!!! Pure talent wise, Brady or any other could not hold Marino's jock for that matter. Farve admitted the greatest ever, Dan Marino. He is right by far..........

Look at the records!! It's Paul Brown & 'Automatic' Otto Graham without question! Of course they had the help
of Marion Motley, Max Speedie, Danta Lavelli, Lou Groza, & Bert Jones father, Dub 'Special Delivery' Jones!

Marino was incredible.....he was the only time I can think of one guy doing it by himself.....i'm still not sold on exactly how "great" the mark boys were.

Record wise, yeah, absolutely it's Brown/Graham. What was it? Seven NFL championships in 10 years (and finalists in all 10)?

Without going back to the history books I think they won 4 AAFC titles in a row 1946-49, twice going undefeated!
When the AAFC was gobbled up by the NFC I think Cleveland, San Fran LA and one other team came into the NFL. No one gave them a chance but they won the NFC championship the very first year in the league & did win 3 more, incredible.

Otto Graham retired for a year & they lost that year, but Paul Brown persuaded him to come out of retirement for just one more year and he led them to another championship.

Otto Graham & Paul Brown stand alone, no question about it

Walsh/Montana unquestioned. The creation of the West Coast offense and the perfect type of quarterback to execute it flawlessly. Although Walsh and Montana were not part of all of them, Siefert and Young picked up the rest that led to 5 Superbowl titles without defeat, with most not even being close and argueably the greatest teams of all time.

I cant see that. Dan Marino racked up huge and gawdy numbers , but he could have done that anywhere. If your talking about best ever combo , Shula/Griese would be better than Shula/Marino just based on post season success (..err lack of) Marino could have gotten huge numbers with any coach , and who knows , maybe a super bowl with somebody other than shula.
