Can't wait to see a brand new multi-use arena built adjacent / near Comerica Park and Ford Field downtown which will house both the Pistons and Wings.

EDIT: Swing and a miss on Mike Ilitch.

The guy has a thing for the city of Detroit, eh?

One of the 3 might do something this year, e.g. make the playoffs.

I am against this. He only wants this to flex his muscels to get a new stadium for the Wings.

I don't care what he does. Just don't ask for any tax money. Build whatever you want just stay out of my pocket.

Tigers are getting rid of 75 million off the roster. They have money now to get a few hittiers.

I wiki'd the guy to see who he was and the most interesting thing I found was that Detroit gave him the "key to the city" a few years back and the interesting part is that they also gave Sadam Hussein the same thing back in the day. May help explain why the city is in the shape it is in....

Also might explain why the USA is in the shape it's in lately, financially, etc
It wasn't only Detroit amongst the Yanks that backed SaD.
