Jay Glazer of FOX reports that the Vikings and the Patriots are working on a trade that would send receiver Randy Moss back to Minnesota, the place where his career began.

Glazer reports that the deal, which is close, hinges on the Vikings working out terms of a new contract with Moss, who is signed through 2010.

Ironically, the Vikings were widely believed to have a deal in place with receiver Vincent Jackson, but that they couldn't work out the terms of a trade.

Stay tuned.

it appears NE thinks they can without him...they are playing with a lot of youth on that team, bar Brady

Yeah I think they are falling asleep on the fact that Welker and some of the other receivers have been able to excel due to the fact Moss down field was always a deep threat.

Moss was not being doubled alot the word in Boston was Bill Belch. is sick of the guy and didnt want to use him much

Of course I don't have game tape, but a lot of replays showed he was getting double covered. And yes I do believe Bill was tired of the guy.

how come people say Brady is old and only has a couple good years left? Guy just turned 33 and has atleast 5 to 7 years left of which i wouldnt be shocked if atleast 4 of those years he was a pro bowl caliber qb.

What are you talking about? He is constantly doubled, name a WR who is doubled more than Moss this past decade? How do you know BB is sick of him? Any coach in the NFL wants Moss for obvious reasons. His teammates have liked him since day one.
This is all about the greedy MR. Kraft feeling threatened by Moss who is one of the few star players who can insist on FINALLY paying his players like the rest of the NFL owners pay. Kraft is a notorious cheapskate but the fans love him despite this. He screwed Seymour when he asked for his $$$ and now he gives Moss same treatment. One of the best lineman in the game remains a holdout cuz Krafty wouldn't pay him his worth. If I wasn't a Pats fan I would love to see this blow up in Kraft's face. But they do have enough to win without Moss, it just won't be so easy.

Honzie..Think what u want but Moss is not the same guy he once was, and what does him being doubled more this past decade have to do wth last nights game? With or without him your boys r still going to get their shit pushed in by the Jets

Child, please! Nothing like trying to pass opinion off as fact. Good to see you showing your true colors, now I will take your 'opinions' with a grain of salt. Yeah, I feel your resentment after your Jets have been OWNED by the superior division opponent over the past 2 decades. LOL! Over and out, enjoy your life.

The Pats are getting into a great position to rebuild the team while still being a contender. They have the Raiders 1st rd pick this year. They will atleast get a 2nd and 4th for Moss. This sets up good for them.

considering we gave away this superstar for a rusty nail it better now cost us anything more to get him back to Minnesota.

Everyone was bitching and crying when Seymour got dealt.. now he has been M.I.A. while the Pats are sitting on a top 5 pick next year. Moss is a huge part of the offense, but he is not a necessary piece. I'd rather the Pats trade him now and at least get something out of it, rather than watch 10 more games of him mailing it in and missing blocks like he did last night because he isn't getting the contract/targets that he wants. If he really demands a trade to the Vikings, with an over the hill QB and Childress as head coach, I already know it won't be a happy ending for him.

If this trade goes down then:
Patriots must be looking to the future only. Don't think they make playoffs without the Moss threat. We'll see how open Welker remains when they double him. If you think Tate is going to instantly replace Moss at wideout, think again. The Patriots win over the Dolphins was a result of special teams, 21 pts. Yes, Kraft has a few loose screws when it comes to $$$.
Vikings, with Moss, instant contender for division w/Gbay.
