Guys I haven't posted in a long time but know I've been reading and watching all along. Some of you vets know this is my favorite time of year and I typically do well in the first round of the playoffs and then suck in round two. I hope this year is different. Here are my plays today for the first round.

Phil -1.5 +110
Minn under 7.5

You would think the Texas/TB game would be an under but that line is too inviting and I think the public will play the under but that's when I lose so I think that one goes over but I'm not making it a play. I also like my Twins but again not an official play. Those of you that know me, know I'm not a homer and often pick against my team. Chuck Luck I'm not.

Good luck today in whatever you do.

If you look at Lariano's last three games there is no way this game goes under. However, he has a good era against the Yanks and if the Twins are going to win, I think they have to avoid a slugfest against the Bombers.

Just remember this in the playoff....if you ever bet on the Evil Empire....God will give you 7 years of bad luck gambling.....I read it in the bible last night.

That means missing an extra point and losing by a half.....missing an uncontested slam dunk at the end of the game to keep the game under when you bet the over.....missing an open net in a hockey game from the blue line. Talk about punishinment.....it just isn't worth it...seven years is a long time.

Oh I forgot...I like the Twins Under 7.5 and under in the first 5 innings and Twins plus 1.5 runs.

I would say 7.5 is the most important number in the American League. The fact that it is a low number already indicates a low scoring game and 2 good pitchers. The extra half run allows you to win a close fought game like 4-3. Also when you see 7.5 the game goes under in the first five innings. Home dogs getting 1.5 in low scoring games have been solid this year close to 60% winners.

Well the first 5 innings under is in the books, Twins plus 1.5 is looking good so far. Sitting here drinking out of a 1987 World Series Cup....with Kent Hrbek and Dan Gladden on it. Go Twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still can't talk....day 15....slowly getting better. Like both of them. Like under 9 in the Twins game too. Maybe Gardenhire will get of his ass and bring in a relief pitcher before its too late. He is starting to manage like Bobby Cox.....and that ain't good. Like the under in SF. Playing Twins Plus 1.5 again too. GL

oh and how is that diet of yours going...what was it again....Big Mac...Large Fries....Apple Pie..................and a DIET COKE?

One in the books with the Twins under in the first 5. I like the SF under also but had an all day company meeting and forgot to play it. Oh well.

I've replaced the diet coke with a medium chocolate shake. Looking for a 2-0 day. Just for the record, I may have outsmarted myself and played the Giants -1.5 +140 as well.

Swept the board yesterday so 3-1 so far. Today I like the Philly's -195, which I hate the price but I'm not going to play the run line as Arroyo has been solid of late and I think it will be low scoring. If I lose this it will count as a 2 unit loss. I also like the SF game under 6.5 -120.

Good luck, let's try and cash in again.

Tough one for the Twins yesterday...won the under in first five and game. As usual Yankees get aaaaaallllllllll the calls. Ump had two strike zones.....very little for the Twins and huge for the Yankees. Tough to win when its two against one. Won with SF and Under too.

Tougher games today.....I liked Phil and Over in the first game and it went to 7.5....don't like that extra 1/2. I don't like laying the big number on Phil so I am going to take Phil -1/2 first five instead.

San Fran I am going under too....the pitching for san fran has been phenominal the last month.

So I guess we are on the same page today. GL

Looked at it a little more and I like SF under 6.5 the more I look at it.

May try some under 3.5 too since I won two hockey totals already today. Also found a 7 for Phil game so I played it over.

Split yesterday as SF relievers failed us. Now 4-2.

Today we win two. TB+108 and NYY -176. I thought about the over in the Twins game but these two teams just haven't gone over this number very often in the last two years.

Cruiser,

NBA is my other main game I haven't been studying that yet, but I'm sure I'll have a few totals coming.

Good luck to you. I'm doing some capping on this game tonight now and I'll post later today. Now 7-4 for the first rnd.

The SF starters have allowed one earned run and Lowe has been lights out against SF so the under 4 runs first 5 is my strongest play. I'm also playing the under 7 and Atlanta. I'm now 7-4 with the tough loss with Atlanta yesterday, maybe Chuck Knoblach is available for the Braves second base position.

Whatever you play good luck.

Hit 2 of 3 yesterday so 9-5 and a profitable first round. Today we go with the dog again (Texas) as Cliff Lee has given up 1 run in 7 or more innings in four of his last five starts. He wants to audition for the Yankees and beat them in the next round so look for another solid outing from him. He also worked 40 1/3 innings last year in the playoffs giving up a total of 7 earned runs. I look for another solid outing from him again tonight.

On the other side Price has given up a maximum of 3 runs working a minimum of 6 innings all season at home until the first game of the playoffs when he gave up 5 runs, 4 being earned runs. In fact his era at home is 2.15 and he's 4-13 to the under on the season. I look for a nail biter and another low scoring game so I'm playing the under 6.5 for the game.
